Analisis Kinerja Pelayanan Kapal dan Proyeksi Tingkat Pemanfaatan Dermaga di Pelabuhan Cappa Ujung Parepare
Abstract
Cappa Ujung Port in Parepare City, South Sulawesi, plays a strategic role as a regional logistics node, particularly in handling general cargo commodities. However, limitations in port facilities and low operational efficiency may adversely affect ship service performance. This study aims to analyze ship service performance and berth utilization under existing conditions and to project berth utilization up to the year 2030. A linear regression analysis method was employed by considering the potential of the hinterland area as a predictive variable. Operational performance evaluation was conducted using indicators such as Waiting Time, Approach Time, the ratio of Effective Time to Berthing Time (ET:BT), and the Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR). The results show that the Waiting Time of 0 hours and Approach Time of 0.55 hours are still within acceptable service standards. However, the ET:BT ratio reached only 33.68%, indicating low operational efficiency in cargo handling activities. The projection of berth utilization shows that in 2025, the BOR of Berth I reaches 155.42%, far exceeding the optimal limit of 70%, while the BOR of Berth II is only 38.13%. This condition reveals an imbalance in berth utilization that may disrupt the smooth operation of ship services. Hence, it is recommended for Berth I to implement strategies such as improving cargo handling efficiency, optimizing ship scheduling, and provide supporting facilities such as warehouses to reduce the BOR to an optimal level.
